Katrina Kaif as Barbie Doll
Finally the wait is over as the most awaited doll of the year “Barbie I Can Be a Movie Star”, which is inspired by the Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif was unveiled in Mumbai. The lovely actress, lived up to her Barbie doll image, all decked up in pink. Her attire matched that of the newly launched Barbie.
“I am thrilled and excited at having the ‘I Can Be a Movie Star’ Barbie Doll inspired by me. It is almost unbelievable, that a doll that I grew up playing with is one day going to take after me, seem like me. Barbie is not just another Doll; she is one of the most popular characters in the world who is a fashionista and has a flourishing career. It is an absolute honour to be associated with Barbie,” said Katrina at the event.
Katrina clarified that the doll doesn’t have her facial features.
“It’s a small doll and there was no intention of changing its features, so it does not resemble me completely.”
At the event Katrina gifted the newly launched dolls to a few lucky young girls and posed with them on stage.

Kareena, Katrina and Yana roped in for Miss India Worldwide pageant
The grand finale of PC Jewellers Miss India Worldwide pageant to be held at Pragati Maidan Jan 31 and Deepak’s Tijori Entertainment is hosting the show with Kaleidovision.
To add glamour and glitter to the event Bollywood beauties like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Yana Gupta have been roped in.
“There will be a mix of beauty, talent and glamour at the finale of the pageant, with Bollywood beauties shaking a leg with the participants; it will be an evening to remember,” host Deepak Tijori said at the press conference here Wednesday.
The 20 finalists will go through a 10 day grilling regime.
“Training is not going to be a cakewalk for them. They will have to go through a tough and hectic regime of around 14 hours a day, which means they cannot take it easy,” said Mehar Bhasin, who will look after the grooming of the contestants.
“The finalists will undergo an exclusively designed training and grooming regime that includes fitness, diction, psyche, aptitude, hair and make-up sessions. The training will enhance their confidence not only for the finale, but for further rounds to be held on the international stage as well,” she added.
Beauty expert Blossom and Samantha Kochhar will take care of their beauty and hair, while fitness tips will be given by model-turned-actors Milind Soman and Rahul Dev.

Born on July 16th, 1984; Katrina Kaif is one of eight siblings, all girls, from a mother who is a Caucasian of British Nationality, and a father who was formerly from Kashmir, India, but who has since acquired British citizenship.
Kaif’s first taste of modeling happened in Hawaii when she was 14 and was part of a jewelry campaign. Thereafter, she continued modeling in London. In India, there was no dearth of offers and she appeared in the ads of Veet, Lakme, LG, Samsung to name a few. She was also the face of Lakme India Fashion Week 2005. She took the number one spot in FHM India's 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll and also won the Best Female Style Icon at the IIFA Awards.

Indian Idol finally gets its first female winner
This time, the foruth series of popular TV show ‘Indian Idol’ was unique as the show finally got its first female winner in the form of Sourabhee Debbarma, who won title of ‘Indian Idol 4′ on Sunday ruling out her close contestants the Bengali girl Torsha Sarkar and army man Kapil Thapa. The 22 year old girl who surprisingly has had no professional training in music walked away with a Rs.10 million contract with Sony TV and a car. The result was based on public voting.
The celebrity guests of the finale included Bollywood stars John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh, who had come to promote their forthcoming film ‘New York’.
Others from the Indian film and music industry, including judges Javed Akhtar, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher and Sonali Bendre, too were present to cheer the finalists.
